KrissAnn has written over 100 songs and this is just a sample of her works. She
grew up on hard-core country/bluegrass in the backwoods of Mississippi where her
Memaw would run her out of the house when she would start singing. One of her
favorite spots was her Pawpaw's old Ford truck that had an AM radio in it and she
loved the drives to "Mr. Merell's Store" hangin out the window listening to Old Hank and
Willie. She was transformed with the help of Rock-n-Roll and Blues in the city and
surburbs of Houston, Texas. Never wanting to be put in a box, KrissAnn vowed to write
from her heart even if it meant going outside her Japanese/Cherokee/Redneck roots.
"Honest music can sometimes be difficult to write but sometimes it just has to be done.
Writing, singing and playing instruments is a great release and I am so glad my
husband tolerates it all".
